Core Responsibilities:

– Lead the design, integration, and management of complex systems, ensuring they align with WCS’s strategic goals and meet the rigorous standards of the defense sector.
– Expertly define and analyze system requirements, develop comprehensive system architectures, and create detailed design specifications to guide project development.
– Play a pivotal role in additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping processes, applying innovative techniques to streamline system development and ensure efficient execution.
– Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of systems to validate their performance against all requirements and specifications, ensuring the highest level of quality and reliability.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the project lifecycle, from conception through deployment, fostering an environment of teamwork and knowledge sharing.
– Remain abreast of emerging trends and technologies in systems engineering, continually integrating new methodologies and tools to maintain WCS’s competitive edge.

Minimum Requirements:

– A bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
– A minimum of 10 years of experience in system design, integration, and management, with a proven track record in complex systems development.
– At least 10 years of experience in understanding and defining system requirements, developing system architectures, and crafting detailed design specifications.
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and the testing and evaluation of systems.
– In-depth knowledge of modern engineering tools and software, with a keen understanding of how to apply these in a defense technology context.
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about design and development challenges.
– Excellent leadership capabilities, with experience in guiding and mentoring technical teams.
– Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

– U.S. citizenship is required, due to the nature of work performed, as the position is subject to U.S. government restrictions. Permanent residency is not applicable.
