Key Responsibilities:

– Lead the design, development, and testing of UAV and UAS, ensuring adherence to technical, regulatory, and client specifications.
– Spearhead innovative projects, from conception through to deployment, focusing on advanced aerospace technologies and systems integration.
– Conduct comprehensive aerodynamic and structural analyses of UAV/UAS designs, employing cutting-edge simulation tools and methodologies.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software developers, and project managers, to ensure cohesive project progression and optimal outcomes.
– Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in aerospace engineering, UAVs, and UAS, integrating these insights into WCS’s developmental strategies.
– Provide expert guidance and mentoring to junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Minimum Requirements:

– A master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
– A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the aerospace industry, with a specific focus on the design, development, and testing of UAVs and UAS.
– Profound knowledge of aerospace systems, aerodynamics, flight mechanics, and control systems.
– Demonstrated experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and other relevant aerospace engineering applications.
– A track record of successful project management, showcasing the ability to lead complex aerospace projects from inception to completion.
– Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about design and development challenges.
– Advanced physics understanding of electrostatics, ionization, high- and low-pressure dynamics
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a history of productive collaboration in multi-disciplinary teams.

– U.S. citizenship is required, due to the nature of work performed, as the position is subject to U.S. government restrictions. Permanent residency is not applicable.
